SAP Finance Consultant

Financial Accounting (FI) | Controlling (CO) | Project Systems / EPPM (PS/EPPM)
Hybrid role | Based anywhere in India

You will work with leading Life Sciences organisations on complex transformation programmes, bringing together deep Finance expertise, SAP S/4HANA and innovative thinking to tackle real business challenges, become a trusted advisor to our clients and shape solutions that deliver lasting value.

The Opportunity

As an SAP Finance Consultant, you will strategically align technology with business objectives, combining your SAP Finance expertise with strong Management Consulting capability.

The opportunity will include, but is not limited to:

• Collaborating closely with clients, working directly with senior finance stakeholders and business process owners.
• Translating business requirements into clear to-be processes, functional designs and innovative SAP S/4HANA solutions.
• Taking responsibility for your specialist functional area from requirements and design through build and configuration, testing, deployment, cutover and go-live.
• Bringing current and emerging SAP capabilities into conversations with clients and identifying opportunities to solve complex business challenges differently.
• Thriving in an international environment, working across multilingual, multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.

Your Specialism

We are looking for experienced consultants who have developed a genuine specialism through one of three established SAP Finance career routes:

• Financial Accounting (FI) – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking and Cash Management, Tax and Financial Close.
• Controlling (CO) – Cost and Profit Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Margin Analysis / CO-PA and wider management accounting processes.
• Project Systems / EPPM (PS/EPPM) – Project structures and WBS, planning, budgeting, costing, project financial control, settlement and integration with FI/CO.

You do not need deep expertise across all three areas. Your career may have developed through FI, CO or PS/EPPM. What matters is deep, credible expertise in your chosen specialism, supported by broad SAP Finance knowledge and the consulting maturity to understand how your area fits into the wider S/4HANA landscape.

Your Experience

First and foremost, you are a genuine Management Consultant with exceptional communication skills, the ability to see the bigger picture and a collaborative approach to creating exceptional solutions.

You will also bring:

• Significant SAP Finance consulting experience gained across complex transformation programmes.
• Deep functional expertise in Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO) or Project Systems / EPPM (PS/EPPM).
• Broad understanding of the wider SAP Finance landscape beyond your core specialism.
• Experience across multiple full end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycles, from early requirements and design through build, testing, deployment and go-live.
• Multiple full project lifecycles in SAP, as well as at least two full end-to-end S/4HANA implementations in which you played a significant functional and consulting role throughout the lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work credibly with senior Finance stakeholders and translate complex business needs into practical SAP solutions.
• Strong workshop facilitation, solution design and stakeholder-management capability, with the confidence to challenge constructively rather than simply take an instruction and configure it.
• A strong understanding of how your specialist area integrates with the wider S/4HANA Finance landscape and adjacent processes, including Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
• A proven track record within a Big Four firm, major systems integrator or specialist SAP consulting firm would be preferred.
• Experience in Life Sciences or process manufacturing, particularly pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical manufacturing or chemicals, would be advantageous.
